Aluminium windows

A long time ago Aluminium windows were grey, prone to condensation and set into hardwood frames that still needed painting. They were seen as suitable for commercial properties only.

That was a long time ago, modern aluminium windows are unsurpassed when it comes to strength, style and slim sightlines. There are so many things you can do with a handmade aluminium window that simply can’t be done with PVCu and with specialist Polyester coatings frequently guaranteed for 25 years available in over 400 colours, including Farrow & Ball and numerous textures, even woodgrain effects, it’s not surprising that so many of the contemporary homes featured on “Grand designs” feature Aluminium windows and they’re usually the first choice for conservation areas as being the closest looking to the original windows with their slim proportions.

While PVCu can be curved, bent and angled, you just can’t replicate this look of traditional timber that even timber can no longer match with modern glazing.
